Account opening procedure

In order to open an investment account:

  • Complete an Application form. During the next business day our manager will contact you, clarify details and prepare a set of documents.
  • Sign a drafted package of documents at the nearest office.
  • After a complete set of documents is signed, you will be sent a notification with an instruction to generate electronic keys to access the trading terminal, you will also receive the bank details and SSI.

Required documents

  • Application form for a natural person.
  • Copy of identification document (travel passport).
  • Copy of a document confirming place of residence (utility bill, bank statement or other official document which states the Client’s address. For Russian and Ukrainian citizens - internal passport with a registered address stamp is acceptable);
  • For clients with Russian residency – copy of Tax Residency Certificate (ИНН)
  • Notarized power of attorney (if any), application form on the name of an attorney (in case an Attorney’s personal details are not specified in the Client’s application form) and copies of an Attorney’s identification documents specified in p. 2-3.
  • For the Clients excluding residents of Russian Federation who receive their income from operations or financial instruments which are subject to taxation in Russian Federation: tax certificate or other document as a proof of the tax residence for the current tax period (calendar year). The document is required annually.

KIT Finance Europe has a right to request Tax Certificate or equivalent confirming Tax residency for a current Tax period (calendar year) and update this confirmation annually, as well as other documents required as a part of Know Your Customer (KYC) procedure.


Copies of of the above documents are required to be certified by notary or an employee of the Investment firm who accepts the document provided that the original documents are presented with an apostille or legalization in a consulate, unless it is otherwise stipulated by an international contract between Estonia and the country of registration / citizenship of the Client.


Documents shall be provided in Estonian, Russian, or English language. If they are issued in another language, the documents shall be provided with a translation into Estonian, Russian, or English language with an apostille or legalization in a consulate, and the translation shall be certified by a notary, unless it is otherwise stipulated by an international contract between Estonia and the country of registration/citizenship of the Client.


Documents to be submitted to the tax agents in Russian Federation shall be translated into Russian language with an apostille or legalization in a consulate, and the translation shall be certified by a notary, unless it is otherwise stipulated by an international agreement between Russian Federation and the country of registration/citizenship of the Client (final beneficiary of the income coming from financial instruments).
